Daft Art Engineering Business Policies
 
  Daft Art Engineering was part-time hobby that has grown into a full-time second business. The products here have had many development hours put into them so that they could be shared with the rest of the Opel/Vauxhall and GM Daewoo community. We do our best to respond to your request as soon as possible, please allow 24-48 hours for replies to general inquiries. We are committed to your privacy. Our policies on business transactions with Daft Art Engineering are as follows:
 
 
Warranty & Liability
 
• Liability
  All products sold by Daft Art Engineering should be installed by qualified automotive service professionals and may not be for street use. Daft Art Engineering IS NOT LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MIGHT OCCUR DUE TO THE USE OR MISUSE OF THESE PERFORMANCE MODIFICATIONS. You should make sure you understand the full ramification of any modifications you make to your vehicle.
 
• Warranties
  Parts cannot be warranted beyond the warranty of the manufacturer, when not manufactured by Daft Art Engineering. Any products found to be defective in workmanship or materials will be repaired, exchanged, or replaced at the sole option of Daft Art Engineering, after inspection and approval. Daft Art Engineering is liable for only the cost of the part(s) supplied, not for any additional expenses incurred such as labor, lost time, or other parts damaged.
 
• Product Returns
  Our return policy is simple. Within 30 days of receipt of your order, you may return Any item in its original condition. All paper work must accompany your return and the box/product must be in brand-new condition. Simply indicate the reason for your return, include the packing slip, and wrap the package securely. Ship it to the address given by us. For your protection, we recommend that you use Fed-EX ®, UPS® or any Insured Parcel Post for shipment. You must e-mail us at lemanstuning@yahoo.com for a return authorization number and for the address to be shipped. NO ITEMS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER. Please note that we can process returns and refunds only for items purchased from daftart.com, group buys on forums are not included. You may also cancel unshipped items. To cancel an order already placed write to us at lemanstuning@yahoo.com.
 
• Refunds
  We will notify you of your refund via e-mail once we have received and processed the returned item. Please note that we refund shipping costs only if the return is caused as a direct result of OUR error.
 
 
Your Privacy
 
• Personal & Financial Information
  We will NEVER release an individual's personal or vehicle information without consent or due legal process except. Your credit card number, checking account and other financial information will not be revealed to anyone outside of Daft Art for any reason except for any information necessary to properly process your order. Required information is necessary for us to process transactions, protect you against credit card or checking account fraud and allows us to contact you should the need arise.
 
• Notification of Changes
  This policy may be revised over time as new features are added to the website. We will post those changes prominently so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and whether we will disclose it to anyone. Please check this site for information about revisions to our privacy policy.
 
 
Billing Practices
 
• Payment
  Credit cards (Visa / MC) and debit orders not taken through the website can be processed through PayPal. Once the order is established via email or phone order a PayPal invoice will be sent to your paypal address to be replied to with payment. Buyers who send money without an invoice will experience delays and a fallow up invoice. All Paypal invoices outside of the site will be sent with an additional 4% fee.
  We also accept Credit and Debit card Phone Orders at no additional charge (unlike PayPal payments)
 
 
  We do accept checks and money orders made out to: Daft Art Engineering, LLC
Please understand the following criteria for credit card usage:
  1. Shipping must be to the person and address that are shown on the card. Regular customers in good standing may have parts shipped to alternate addresses at our discretion.
  2. Orders are shipped via FedEx Ground, UPS Ground, or USPS Ground unless otherwise requested. Additional fees may apply.
  3. Credit Card fraud will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law  
  All prices are subject to change without notice. The most current price list is available on the web site. The prices on your order will reflect those listed the day your payment is received through the site or the day your invoice is sent if outside of the site. If there is a question, contact us for the most current pricing.
 
• EMAIL ORDERS
  Email orders are accepted and may be placed anytime. Contact  us with the parts you require and a paypal invoice will fallow. We view our incoming mail hourly and we will respond ASAP. Sometimes we will be out of the office on business for a few days so please be patient.
  All orders should include information of year, make, model, engine code, VIN# [for factory parts], type of driving done, etc. etc.. Full name, address, phone number(s) are also necessary.
 
• MAIL ORDERS
  We suggest sending a certified check, cashiers check, or money order for your order. Personal checks, or Money Orders that are printed at home via your accounting software, require a minimum of two weeks to clear before the parts order can be processed.
 
• SHIPPING
  All shipments will be sent via USPS (primary) or UPS and FedEx  as an alternative. Express deliveries are available for an additional fee. Oversize and/or overweight orders will normally be sent by truck. Freight must be prepaid on all truck shipments. UPS and FedEx will not deliver to P.O. Boxes. We must have a street address. If you do not have a street address the U.S. Postal Service will be used.

• SHIPPING CHARGES
  Daft Art Eng. charges actual shipping costs based on the delivery company's Rate estimator. This estimation is usually fairly close to what is actually charged.
 
• HANDLING CHARGES
  Daft Art Eng. May add a handling charge at it's discretion based on special shipping materials needed or rush orders.
 
• ALTERNATE DELIVERY ADDRESSES
  Regular customers in good standing may have packages shipped to alternate addresses at our discretion. Otherwise all packages will be sent to the billing address.
 
• PACKAGING
  To help keep expenses down, we try to recycle most usable boxes we receive. If a special container is required, then an additional handling fee may be added on.
 
• TRACKING NUMBERS
  Tracking numbers are only issued in special cases or at the discretion of Daft Art Eng. IF your package is late, email us and we will track the package for you.
 
• INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS
  Orders must be prepaid in U.S funds. Call, write, or fax in advance to obtain the total cost of the order and shipping. All duties/import fees/border fees are the sole responsibility of the customer. This includes Canadian customers. A street address is required, P.O. Boxes are not acceptable.
 
• RETURNS
  All returns must be pre-approved by Daft Art Engineering. The parts will be inspected by Daft Art Engineering and if in satisfactory condition, we will issue a credit within 72 hours. A 20% restocking charge will be charged on all returns due to customer error or any problems not caused by Daft Art Engineering.
 
• REFUSED SHIPMENTS
  The customer is responsible for freight (both ways) on any shipment refused for any reason. No future orders will be processed until the customers account has been cleared. Future orders must be prepaid in full.
 
• CANCELLATIONS
  Any canceled orders will be charged to the customer at the cost incurred by Daft Art Engineering at the time of cancellation.
 
• RETURNED SHIPMENTS
  Any returned items that were not deliverable due to lack of payment, or not in 3 attempts, must have shipping paid both ways by the customer before any future orders will be processed for the customer.
 
• SALES TAX
  Colorado residents will be charged the appropriate local sales tax in all purchases. Use and/or sales taxes due on untaxed interstate sales are the responsibility of the customer.
 
• BACK ORDERS
  Will be shipped as soon as possible. You will be notified on your order status as new information becomes available. If you would like a refund instead of waiting, please let us know.
 
 
• GROUP BUYS
  are typically NON-STOCK ITEMS and like back-ordered items will be shipped as soon as possible. The time frame for delivery is in the hands of company the parts come from. If the group buy is not for items produced by Daft Art there is nothing that can be done to hasten the delivery date.
 
• DAMAGE CLAIMS
  The carrier is responsible for delivering merchandise in satisfactory condition. All deliveries should be inspected, any damage pointed out to the carrier, and call us immediately. Daft Art Engineering cannot replace merchandise damaged in shipping if you do not call us and keep all packing materials.
Note: Many special order items are NOT returnable.
 
 
Publication Rights
 
  At it's discretion, Daft Art Engineering reserves the right to publish any/all and/or whole/partial correspondence with the owner or employees of Daft Art Engineering concerning any part of the company. By contacting any authorized agent, the correspondor forfeits any right to prevent the correspondee from publishing that correspondence.
